16th Annual Calumet Heritage Conference
What is most nationally significant about the Calumet region?
Did you miss the public comment meetings? Summaries about the progress made to date on the Caulmet Heritage National Feasiblity Study are available to view.
This year’s conference is in two parts
At the 15th annual Calumet Heritage Conference, we announced that the Calumet Heritage Partnership initiated a feasibility study to designate the bi-state region as a Calumet National Heritage Area. We have taken up that effort with gusto! At this year’s conference, join us for one of four public comment meetings where we will present key sections of the feasibility study: the themes and sites that tell a nationally significant story of the region, the boundary that encompasses them, and the goals and priorities for the region’s future.
The public meetings have NO REGISTRATION FEE – but let us know you are coming as it helps determine staffing, refreshments, and material needs. Please note that the same information will be presented at all meeting locations.
